About Time | Recommended

Hello gorgeous!

Last Saturday I finally watched About Time, a movie I've been dying to see ever since watching its' trailer last year.

I thought it was going to be about love, and laughter, and sillyness, but there's crying involved, oh yes there is. It will come to you very suddenly, I personally wasn't expecting it, and it hit me like a truck. The plot is amazing and so are the actors.

Only afterwards did I realise it was directed by Richard Curtis, director of Notting Hill and Love Actually (which I love).

All in all, I want to watch this movie again and again until I get tired of it (probably not possible). And I need to get my hands on the soundtrack CD, it is perfection.

Happy Wednesday! x

Golden Globes 2014 - Red Carpet

Hello gorgeous!

Last night was the 71st Golden Globe Awards, a show honouring the best film and American television of 2013. I didn't watch it myself because I had to do some uni work but I couldn't help looking at the beautiful dresses that appeared during the red carpet. I picked some of my favourites to share with you in this post.

Here's my Top 5:

5. Elisabeth Moss in J. Mendel
I think this dress is lovely - I love that it is a tail hem dress, I've been obsessed with those ever since I've known of their existence. And it matches her hair colour, it was a good decision in my opinion.

4. Mila Kunis in Gucci
Amazing. Beautiful metallic colour, fits her perfectly. I could see myself wearing this to an award show.

3. Amber Heard in Atelier Versace
Another dress I wouldn't mind wearing to an award show. It's sexy without showing too much. I like the detail on the shoulder, a little thing that makes the dress not look so "vulgar".

2. Uma Thurman in Atelier Versace
Love, love, love! Classy and beautiful! It would probably be my number 1 if the bottom half matched the upper in terms of colour or material but it's in my favourites nonetheless.

And now, my absolute favourite (which surprisingly isn't a dark colour, what's up with that)...

1. Maria Menounos in BCBG Max Azria
I'm not even a fan of pink, I hardly have any pink clothes but this dress... wow. The shape, the colour, the details... it's stunning! And Maria Menounos worked it.

Hope you enjoyed this kind of post, I just like looking at dresses. I wouldn't mind owning all of these, either.

Happy Monday! x

Social Media Icons

First blog post of 2014, woohoo! Hope everyone is having a wonderful start of the year, I can't complain myself!

I'm starting the year by renovating my blog; a change here and there makes everything look new and fresh! (so many exclamation points, ahh!)
I decided to add some social media icons to the sidebar so it's easier for you to follow me. Being the noob I am, I couldn't have done it without the aid of the wonderful person who took some of her time off to record a video of how it is done. I will leave it down here incase you, too, need some help.

It was easier than I thought it would be and I'm really pleased with the final result. I got my icons off of THIS site whose owner kindly let me download it for free and you too can get it if you would like! Just don't forget to give them some recognition, they deserve it.

That being said, if you look to your right side you will see my beautiful icons that will redirect you to my Youtube, Twitter or Instagram account (there's also the Bloglovin' button if you're feeling nice!).

Until next time ;)

Happy Friday! x
